Long before the iconic blueberries canvas went viral, Zoë Pischke Jones had been designing for her mother's line, Julie Pischke Designs. Growing up with Island Needlework as her home, Zoë was surrounded by color, fiber, design and her mother's effortless talent.
As a teenager, Zoë would often be found helping in the back of her mom's store, creating a foundation for a lifetime of all things needlepoint. Zoë attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, where she fell in love with screen printing, sculpture, and design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Nonetheless, with all of the mediums worked with, the love of needlepoint always drew Zoë back to the design table.
The classic blueberry canvas, along with the accompanying cherries and orange canvas, have brought Zoë's talent to the forefront. Among her other amazing designs are Rhett and Scarlett, flamingos from the Key West Butterfly Conservatory, the seasons of suns, and the long tarpon, the Key West iguana, and her additions to the Carrie Out Needlepoint Kits for Blue Waters Needlepoint.
Zoë's designs have grown and evolved, showcasing her graphic arts flair. With bold colors and her own sense of style, the designs have become the perfect complement to her mother's work and a growing addition to Julie Pischke Designs. As an avid needlepointer herself, Zoë strives to create stitcher friendly designs that are full of life, color and joy.
